In a word, NO!
It never fails to astonish me what number of people out there and in business think that all bookkeepers do is enter figures into a computer programme which then miraculously spits out an ideal set of accounts.
Hmm, if only!!
Bookkeeping, or in a sense good bookkeeping, is more concerned than merely pumping numbers into a program and it's a misguided a real long shot concept that bookkeepers are just glorified data entry operators! Good bookkeepers will be a handy asset to your business. Good bookkeepers understand how to enter figures into a PC programme properly, or write up a ledger, but more importantly, they know precisely where and how those figures should be entered.
Trying to unravel a mess that a non-bookkeeper has made is a long thing! It?s something that we at Bookkeeper?s Base do all the time. Unfortunately for many entrepreneurs it isn?t until a they are in a state of despair because they haven't any notion of what is happening in their business.

You wouldn?t get your office helper to do your taxation assessment for you, so why would you let them run blindfolded with the money info that goes into it?
