The use of symbolism in poems has over the years been seen as a style of writing that most poets explore as it somehow makes the poem interesting. Symbols in poetry are more of metaphors whereby comparisons are made in order to hide the meaning or rather the message letting readers or audiences of the piece think deeper and at times even seek some knowledge on certain matters in order to understand the message.

As seen over the past years, poetry is a growing art that is progressively gaining significant amount of popularity and appreciation at least just like most artistic creations. Moreover, there has been evolution whereby the style is changing and poets are now fusing poems with music and calling the spoken word which is evidently appreciated as seen by their response from audiences.

The rhyming of words is the basic feature that poems are identified with; however, these words ought to make sense and follow a certain theme. In other words, the rhymes ought to build a story that draws meaning to the theme of the poem. Every poet has a distinctive style which is either in their writing, presentation or both. As much as poets maybe deserting the initial elements of poem writing it is evident that the new style of writing is attracting more fans.

Poets are more of communicators and entertainers. Basically, they apply their talent and skills of using words to describe feelings, events, situations and different experiences letting others relive them. Connecting with the audience is usually crucial during performances and therefore one should be able to use their body language and facial expression to display emotions in order to pass the message across.

Other than entertaining, poems tend to also inspire its audiences whereby one is motivated to keeping going even when it gets tough as there are others who have faced the worst and are still pushing on. This is what most of them are all about especially since most of them are reflections and real life experiences of the writer or the people around them which makes the words even more wisening.

This is also a means of expression whereby one lets their emotion be heard by others who some of them identifying with these experiences. They may be filled with joy and some anger and others melancholy. As a result, different pieces are admired by different audiences based on their themes and the taste and preferences of the audience who receive these pieces.

Words are powerful and with them come a vast realm of wisdom that is eye-opening and empowering which consequently impacts those that read or hear them. The writing style of most poems is usually based on the idea of hiding the message by using metaphors whereby writers make sense of certain issues by comparing them to objects or events.

Nowadays, poets of this era have been seen to be supported by huge followers unlike in the past and in this case youngsters being their greatest fans. Conversely, the internet has been indispensable in aiding the sharing of poems from different poets to their fans whereby different fan bases have structured a community that love this art and as a result inspiring more people to pursue it.
