Employment One Select If One Is A Woman

By George Dodson

There has been a change in society ever since the mid 50s. Gone are the days when women are encouraged to get married and be housewives. Now, especially with the economic situation the way it is, women are out in the marketplace. It's a more modern way of looking at relationships where men and women both share household duties.

There are still women who can choose to stay home with kids. There are few careers where women are not as accomplished as men. Today, women are found in almost every career. What career should you choose if you want to maximize your earning potential?

Pharmacy is the top field for women in terms of pay. Women in the is career typically take home almost $2k per week. Women in this field make up to 50% of all the pharmacists hence compete everyday with men on an equal footing.

This is largely reflected in the large number of women in college now a days. It is also true, that the top paying jobs for women require at least a four-year degree in the field are interested in.

You would think, that women doctors would follow behind pharmacists as the second top paying job for women. This might not be it as physicians have a wide range of specialties that come with them. It seems that women prefer lower paying specialties as physicians. These include things like general practice in children's medicine.

Following pharmacists, the legal profession is the second highest paying job for women. For the most part, women are on an equal footing in all law specialties. The requirements for this kind of occupation is the same for either sex.

Information system managers who happens to be next in terms of salaries. This is no surprise as the high demand in this field invites both men and women for these posts.

There are still other fields that pay well for the fairer sex.

Women make up the majority of psychologist and physical therapists, plus occupational therapists and medical and health service managers. They average more than sixty thousand per annum.

Women teachers also get to take home good pay. In 2012, they had a median annual pay range of $59,000 per year for foreign language and literature teachers. Law teachers got to take home about $94,000 a year.

The chief executive title ranks right up there with some of the top paying jobs for women. They can earn up to and more than $165,000 a year.

Interestingly, women place more of the significance on a jobs contribution to society than do men. For this reason, they gravitate toward being clergy members. This requires that they have good skills when it comes to personal and being able to articulate themselves. They test better than men in this area, and see it as contributing more toward society.
