By Monique Potts

Develop a good study habit. If you have been very religious in studying for the firefighter entry level exam, then you will have less to review. Remember that the review is to refresh your mind of all the lessons that you learned during the training.

For some people, the review becomes something of a chance to study the lessons. Well, you have that chance during the training, when you were enrolled in the school for it. The review is shorter compared to the time that you invested in school.

Choose a particular time of day in your mind is more receptive. There are people who prefer to study at dawn because this is the time when their mind easy grasps information. They find that they can memorize information better at dawn. This is when their mind is at its sharpest.

Take advantage of when your mind is most productive. Other people would also suggest that you do not wait for a time when you feel like studying. If you are slated to study at this hour, then haul up your body to the study table. You will realize that even if you did not feel like it at first, you find yourself concentrating later on.

The night or days before the exam you should be well rested. Do not go out. Head home immediately and sleep early. This is not time for studying or reviewing anymore. It helps to tell friends and family about this upcoming evaluation so they would stop inviting you to outings. They can be supportive of you in this regard. During the review months, try to lessen the night out.

They can also tell you the assigned rooms for examinees. It is not mandatory that you enrolled in a review center. If you feel that you can pass the evaluation even without the aid of a review center, then do not review. However, there are advantages and disadvantages. One of the advantages is that this is going to be another expenses on your part.

Just think of it as an investment. After you pass the evaluation, you could get promoted. You could get a pay rise or a new job that compensates well. One of the advantages of enrolling in a review center is that you have a guided review of.the topics that might come out during the evaluation. Reviewees are taught to review only the most important information.

Not everything that you have studied will come out in the evaluation. Also, not everything that was taught during training will be asked during the evaluation. Thus, reviewees are taught to consider only those that are likely to come out. Review centers have a way of knowing which lessons are likely to be included in the examination because they are very familiar with it.

Your family and friends should know better not to bother you unless there is a life threatening situation or emergency. Get enough breakfast during the morning. Breakfast will fuel your mind at the start of the day. Eat a good meal for breakfast, lunch and dinner. You cannot afford to get sick within the week of examination.
